Isn’t everyone entitled to something so simple yet crucial for life- like safe drinking water?

Clean drinking water is a basic human need. Unfortunately, more than 1 in 6 people still lack a reliable access to this recourse. The problem is particularly acute in the developing world.

The severe water crisis for the Palestinian residents continues as they are forced to drink highly polluted water.  Water supplies are currently insufficient and cater for demand.

We aim to provide clean drinking water in schools, as this basic humanitarian need will help prevent numerous diseases which the young ones endure. As statistics show that nearly 80% of illnesses in developing countries are linked to water and sanitation conditions.

Stop just for a moment and run through your normal daily routine from the moment you open your eyes in the morning to when they close at night.

Brushing our teeth, showering, putting the kettle on for a cup of tea, cooking, washing our clothes, drinking and cleaning the dishes — we are all completely dependent on a plentiful supply of safe water to see us through each day.

What may come as a basic necessity of life to you and I is a privilege that over a billion people around the world lack. Ironically, sometimes it is not even access to water that is the problem — rather it is often that the available water is unclean, carrying disease and likely to cause serious illness.

No intervention has greater overall impact upon national development and public health than the provision of safe drinking water and the proper disposal of human waste. (World Health Organisation)

Water for schools- why it matters:

Daily students head towards school without clean drinking water.

Without safe drinking water a good education is almost impossible. Dirty water leads to various diseases which in turn results in students missing days and high dropout rates.

A simple investment can lead to educational success, allowing the youth to become strong leaders of their communities.
